Triumph
In 1886, the corsetier Johann Gottfried Spiesshofer and the merchant Michael Braun founded the corsetry firm Spiesshofer & Braun. With six sewing machines and six employees, they began corsetry production in a barn in Heubach (southern Germany). In 1902, Spiesshofer and Braun recognised the need for a memorable brand name that would be understood wherever it was used. Inspired by the Paris Arc de Triomphe,“Triumph” became the new brand name and the company quickly reached the position of the leading lingerie manufacturer in Europe.
In 1953 newly branded “Triumph International” started opening branches throughout Europe. At this time, corsets made a comeback, with Triumph International setting the pace and becoming the market leader. In 1966, Triumph launched the “Doreen“ lingerie range - the world’s best selling bra! Doreen continues to be the bra of choice throughout the world, with unrivalled comfort and an excellent fit for all shapes, including larger sizes.
In 1986 with the aerobics craze sweeping the world, the sports active woman required a special bra and Triumph International offered just the right models: with secure support and a high level of wearer comfort. Now Triaction by Triumph can provide soft comfort for non-impact sports as well as maximum support for peak athletic performance.
Triumph underwear is created with a love for detail and a desire for high quality, perfectly fitting styles for the women of today. We believe that there is a Goddess in every woman.
